New Publication: ODDESSI Trial Evaluates Open Dialogue in Mental Health Crisis Care
A study evaluating Open Dialogue in NHS mental health services was published in August 2026 in The Lancet Psychiatry. The ODDESSI Trial compared Open Dialogue with treatment as usual for adults presenting in crisis to community mental health services in England. The researchers examined the effectiveness of Open Dialogue, a network-based approach to mental health care that involves the individual, their family, and wider support network in treatment and decision-making.
