What Participants Said About Our January 2026 “Information Sharing and Confidentiality” course

In January 2026, we delivered our Information Sharing and Confidentiality training day. This is an interactive course designed to support practitioners in navigating a complex and important aspects of mental health care. Carer’s, families, friends and significant others often play a vital role in supporting service users. Understanding how to share information safely and ethically is essential. This training offered participants an opportunity to reflect on these challenges, build confidence, and explore good practice when working with service users and those involved in their care.

As part of the day, we also gathered feedback from participants.

Here’s what the participants had to say:

“The use of video to think about carer’s stories was brilliant. There was a good balance of slides, videos and small group work.”

— A doctor working in an Early Intervention Service

“The groupwork throughout the day and scenarios at the end were really helpful for learning and consolidation.”

— Psychology

This “topic is something that arises regularly in my day to day practice. It was useful to refresh my knowledge of the law and guidelines. The scenarios were particularly helpful and it would be good to include more of these.”
