Exploring clinicians’ experience of using Behavioural Family Therapy within an older adult community mental health service

Jayne Westwood and colleagues have published their research into the experiences of using BFT in an older adult community mental health service.

The paper presents findings of a service evaluation in which staff were interviewed regarding their experiences of delivering BFT in an older adult community mental health service. A Template Analysis was used to summarise the findings. Staff saw BFT as helpful across a range of mental health conditions with adaptations to support this client group and their families.

The paper can be accessed via the British Psychological Society. This is free for members and has a small cost for non-members.
