23rd ISPS International Conference, Helsinki, Finland
Earlier in June 2024, 3 members of the Meriden team represented us at the 23rd ISPS International Conference ‘Need Adapted Care for Psychosis – the Power of Human Interaction’ – a title inspired by the late Yrjö Alanen’s work on developing the Need Adapted approach. Julia Danks, Debbi Wragg and Sam Luffman presented a poster at the conference which took place in Helsinki, Finland and were able to meet participants from around the world and share experiences and learning.
The aim of the conference was to raise awareness of the possibilities psychological and social approaches offer – for clinicians of various professions in collaboration with family caregivers and the people who have had these experiences themselves.
A report from the conference will be coming soon from Julia, Debbi and Sam with more details of the excellent keynote and plenary speakers who covered areas such from individual experiences / therapies, to families, services, and society.
